The manual monitoring of a secured area is a difficult job because it does not show
the nature of the problem nor automatically takes proper action according to the
situation. If the secured area is too large or it comprises of a multi-storey structure
then it becomes even more difficult to keep an eye on every aspect of the security.
The AccEx application developed at Explora computerizes the security to eliminate
deficiencies and difficulties found in manual security systems. It simulates the
status of the secured area in real-time, using Smart Card Readers / Biometrics and
Digital Cameras mounted at all the Access Points. It informs the user about security
violation, even by displaying messages, and indicating visual alarms according to
the situation.
The AccEx singularly carries out identification, verifies access rights, controls
access points and communicates with the host computer. The AccEx system first authenticates
the card, then verifies the finger prints from the pre-stored data in the card and
reads the access privilege conditions from the card. Based on the result of the
three operations, the system will enable the opening of the Electro-Magnetic Door
Lock System. The entire process of inserting/waving the card to opening of the magnetic
lock is completed in a span of 1 to 2 seconds.
